GREAT NEWS !!! UGLY BEVERLY HILLS HOUSE UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE CITY

YAY!!! THE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HEARD. AND, I'M HAPPY TO SAY, THAT MY BLOG WAS READ BY PEOPLE IN BEVERLY HILLS WHO THEN COMPLAINED TO CITY HALL.

I have been privileged to see copies of what the city is doing about this, but I'm not going to reveal it yet. Let's just say that you can't "advertise" on your house. The pictures below are the least offensive of what they've done. We'll see..................

LIZABETH SCOTT, THE FILM NOIR FATALE IS GONE AT 92. AND I ADORED HER

THIS IS LIZABETH SCOTT, AND I BET MANY PEOPLE TODAY DON'T KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT. 

She came along in the 40s about the same time as Lauren Bacall. Bacall married Bogart and Lizabeth didn't. The Bogart association helped Bacall's career escalate. To me, Lizabeth Scott was the Queen of Film Noir. I remember seeing her on TV when my mother watched black and white movies. I was too young to know about Film Noir, but when I saw Lizabeth on screen I knew she was special. As I got a little older I saw her in an Elvis Presley movie, and even as a kid I wondered why on earth she was doing that!

After the 50s her career was pretty much over for many reasons, but the most important of which was that she didn't want to play the Hollywood game. She came from Broadway Theatre and really was just interested in her craft.

I knew she lived in Los Angeles, and just as I wanted to meet (and did) Garbo and Dietrich, I really wanted to meet her. 

 


One night, I was at a private after party following a Thalians benefit. It was only a few people gathered on Debbie Reynolds' room to celebrate. I was seated on the couch next to Debbie when there was knock at the door. Whoever answered returned to where Debbie was and said, "Lizabeth Scott is here, may she come in?" Debbie was delighted and thrilled to see her.
In walked this woman, who was 81 years old, dressed in back leather pants, a white silk shirt and boots. She looked like a Chanel or Calvin Klein ad of perfection. When you have the magic and the style it never goes away. People treated her like a queen. This was a rare sighting of her.
I was so lucky that she liked me and agreed to have lunch.

We had lunch a few weeks later at Cafe Roma in Beverly Hills. She was very guarded, but slowly relaxed. She came from Scranton, Pennsylvania and was of string Swedish stock. It had been decades since she'd made a movie and I asked why she still lived here. "I like it here. I have friends Here. I like the weather. I was one of the smart ones. I saved every penny from every paycheck and bought land and stock in companies like Coca Cola in the 40s. I never had to work. I just chose to live my life the way I wanted," she said with that enigmatic smile.

Good for you, special lady. You had a life well lived. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And I'm so grateful for all those lunches and the good times.

Good for you, Bruce. I admire your courage. I'm so sorry if you ever were in pain about your life and this decision. Be whoever you want and have a fantastic future! I'm very proud of you.

BOBBI KRISTINA:

Unfortunately Ive had too much experience with friends in comas because of brain damage. Trust me on this one, eye movement is simply a reflex to light, it has little bearing on brain response. My position is the same. Let this little girl go home to her mother.

AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY AWARDS--KIDMAN, RUSH, CROWE, WATTS PARTY ON!!!!

YES, AUSTRALIA DOES GIVE OUT AWARDS! WE USUALLY HEAR ABOUT THE BAFTAS, BUT THE AACTA (AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY CINEMA TELEVISION ARTS) BROADCASTS THEIRS FROM HOLLYWOOD!!!!

PRESENTED BY QUANTAS AND G'DAY USA, THE AACTA took over the Hollywood Palladium Saturday night and had a wing-ding of a party. The Hollywood Palladium was really cleaned up for the event! I love going to an awards show wherer you can sit in comfortable couches and have hors d'oeuvres AND small plates passed to you. The actual TV broadcast lasted only one hour, so afterwards we were treated to incredible food stations by Australian star chef Neil Perry, and our "own star" Tom Colicchio. each chef was actually there and it was a thrill being handed tacos directly from Tom himself.

Rebel Wilson ripped Russell Crowe apart on stage and thought he wasn't in the audience. BUT, HE WAS!

Naomi Watts and Nicole are such close friends that Nicole called her up on the stage by saying, "Come on up, Na!"

REMEMBER AT CHRISTMAS TIME when this disgusting abortion of a home that looks like a prison in the Middle East put up the ugliest holiday decorations on their fence that faces directly on Sunset Blvd. next to the Beverly Hills Hotel???

I got lots of support from readers wanting Beverly Hills to fine them and order them to stop. Well, nothing happened.

At first glance you may say, "What's wrong with a heart for Valentine's Day?" I'll tell you what's wrong with it. Private fences should NOT BE BILLBOARDS in Beverly Hills. Please, someone, contact the mayor, the city council, and the commission that supposedly supervises the style of homes in Beverly Hills. What's next?????

BOBBI KRISTINA---YOU POOR, SWEET, INNOCENT CHILD

WAS ANYBODY REALLY SURPRISED THAT BOBBI KRISTINA WAS NEAR DEATH IN A BATHTUB?

This innocent child had the misfortune to have been born the child of addicts Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. She was doomed the day she took her first breath. No one, adult or child, can survive being in that kind of drugged out insanity of raging, uncontrolled addiction and violence and survive intact. Maybe an adult can go to a program to get help, but an innocent baby takes those wackos on as role models and imitates everything she sees.

So here we are. She is lying in a hospital, brain damaged. She wants to be with her mother. I don't blame her. Through no fault of her own, it is my opinion that she won't be able to survive in this world. They say she only has minimal brain function. Don't try to bring her back. Do what she wants. Let her go live in peace with her mother. What a horrible shame this whole thing is.

 HEY, PETE--WE USC TROJANS REMEMBER, AND WE HOLD GRUDGES FOREVER.


Pete Carroll was a great coach for USC. We had magnificent, championship years under his leadership. But, "alledgedly" he knew all about the Reggie Bush irregualrites of taking money and other things from USC supporters. He knew the NCAA was about to nail us. And what did he do? He ran for the hills. He made sure he was situated in another coaching job before the hit came down and he thinks he got away scott free.

BUT YOU DIDN'T PETE. YOUR EGO TOOK OVER AND YOU OK'D THE DUMBEST PLAY IN THE WORLD. IT COST YOU THE CHAMPIONSHIP. GOOD. YOU GOT WHAT YOU DESERVED---YOU DESERTER.
