GREAT NEWS ABOUT FRIENDS WITH CAUSES!!!!

Friends with Causes, the charity founded by Alexandra Dwek and myself, has expanded! Our dinner last month gave money to a small group of marines from Camp Pendleton started by marines Dennis Flores and Edwin Vasquez. These men, of their own volition, go out and buy toiletries and other necessary items, as well as shipping boxes and postage, and send them to our men and women overseas fighting for our freedom.

Well.....it went so well with us that they are starting THEIR OWN Friends with Causes--Camp Pendleton Chapter!!!

We founders are honored. Let us grow and give.

Alexander is adorable and does a great job. When he's not on the ship he's at home in Palm Springs and is an actor. Michele is one of the funniest stand-ups I've EVER heard. She was on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." A native New Yorker, with a mouth on her that could stop armored trucks, I suggest you watch her on youtube.

The theme of this trip was water and sand and quiet, except for one very wild evening at the pool bar until 2 am.

We all fantasize about different things. In my "Dancing" fantasy, I always pictured myself dancing with Tony. It came true at the party! I was dipped, twirled and what-have-you. THE BBC'S "BURTON AND TAYLOR"

WHAT A DIFFERENT TALENT AND ARTISTRY CAN MAKE. THIS BBC MOVIE ON ELIZABETH TAYLOR AND RICHARD BURTON IS TRULY SENSATIONAL.

Helena Bonham-Carter, never one of my favorites, is amazing. She totally has Elizabeth's voice, soul, style and essence. Dominic West, who only vaguely resembles Burton, is marvelous. He has the voice, the eyes, the sex appeal. THIS IS RUNNING ON BBC AMERICA ALL WEEK.
It isn't trash and utter crap like the American version. It is intelligent, moving, brilliantly acted, written, directed, and photographed. It's 99% impossible to make a move about legends that appears real. This one did it.

Five years ago, actress/self-help guru Suzanne Somers listed her Provence-style Palm Springs compound with a positively sanguine $35M ask. About half a second later, the price for the 65-acre estate plummeted—at one point reaching as low as $12.9M—and eventually the property was swept off the market altogether. A year ago, Somers's Domaine Montagna de Palm Springs (let's add that to the ever-growing list of ridiculous celebrity estate names) re-entered the ring with a $17.5M price tag, but again, was taken off the market soon after. And the saga continues: the Journal reports that the spread, displaced French architecture and all, is making (another) comeback, this time looking to sell for $14.5M.
The estate in Palm Springs' Mesa Canyon boasts 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms spread across five buildings. Traveling between the different structures—like, say, for a midnight snack, as the kitchen is in a different building than the master suite—one can use the private funicular (ooh la la) or a the more boring option of a golf cart.
