SATURDAY NIGHT WAS AT TAYLOR'S, the right out of the 40s and 50s steak house on 8th St. It's as close to Chasen's as you can get. I used to spend every birthday at Chasen's and now I can't. very sad.

EASTER MORNING TURNED INTO A CHINESE NIGHT. I love the restaurant Fu's Palace on Pico near Robertson. Back in the "dark ages" it was Wan Q, and now it looks like a faded resurrection of The Luau. It's one of the genius funky secrets that is so cool. I met yet another gang of friends there.
