AND WHO IS DIONNE KIRSCHNER AND WHY AM I SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS?
Dionne is the FOURTH person in her family to receive an Emmy nomination--Producer of SCHOOL OF ROCK-Best Children's Program. Her grandfather was Danny Thomas. Her aunt is Marlo Thomas; her uncle is Tony Thomas---all Emmy people. Her mother is the wonderful Terre Thomas, who has devoted her life to St. Jude and recently received their Emeritus Award. These people are family to me.
AND, DIONNE, WAS MARLO'S INSPIRATION FOR THE EMMY AND PEABODY-WINNING SHOW, "FREE TO BE YOU AND ME." Unfortunately, or fortunately, I am old enough to remember baby Dionne, and the creation of that show. What a bright child she was, and what a talented, kind adult. Bravo, Dionne.
