SUSAN FENIGER'S COOKBOOK PARTY

Preparing a watermelon salad from Burma

Susan's delicious restaurant, Street, on Highland, was the site of her celebration for her new cookbook, SUSAN FENIGER'S STREET FOOD. She took over her whole restaurant including tenting in her parking lot and had food stations with her cooks preparing dishes from the book. Susan travels all over the world eating "street food," and then she adapts it for our palates at home. If you haven't been to Street, you must go and taste dishes from Burma, India, Columbia, Africa, and on and on. It's an amazing trip.

LUNCH WITH DIANNE FEINSTEIN

Dianne and Mrs. Zev Yaroslavsky look over the city

Barbara Yaroslavsky, head of Ms. Magazine Kathy Spillar
It is no secret among my friends that I adore Senator Dianne Feinstein. We have been friends since 1990, and I think she is the most thoughtful, insightful, intelligent person serving in politics today. She had a lovely luncheon as Soho House recently to visit with friends and update them on what was happening in Washington. She is simply regal, and I am so proud to call her a friend.
