DIANNE FEINSTEIN CELEBRATION

Jerry Brown

Bruce Corwin and Antonio Villaraigosa
Jean Firstenberg

Dianne's husband Richard Blum

Nancy Malone, Linda Hope, Marilyn Fishman

Vicki Reynolds and you-know-who
The Lady of the Hour
I would like to say that I believe in the person, rather than the party. It's important that whoever represents us is bright, thoughtful, strong and a representative of all the people. My friend of 22 years, Dianne Feinstein, is just that person. She was feted the other night at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel by her friends as a thank you for all her great service. Governor Jerry Brown, Mayor Villaraigosa, Comptroller Wendy Greuel (please vote for her for mayor), Zev Yaroslavsky, Sweet Alice Harris, Jan Perry, Richard Bloom---so many leaders were there to cheer for her. And so many non-elected but civic-minded supporters were there as well, including Roz Wyman, chair of the event, Jean Firstenberg, John Emerson and daughter Jackie, Bill Carrick, Trevor Daley, Vicki Reynolds and Murray Pepper, Bronya and Andy Galef, Bobbie Elliott, Brian Hennigan, Nancy Malone, Linda Hope.......it numbers almost 300 that night. Bless you, Dianne

CONGRATULATIONS, JACKIE DE SHANNON

The third volume of Jackie's hits from the Liberty Records years, "Love Will Find A Way," has just been released. Jackie is kicking off the celebration in London next week where she will be feted by fans and her record company. I'm sure she'll find time to go to the Tower of London and maybe a great Indian restaurant. She might even check out the Roger Vivier shoes in Harrods. Who knows?
The album is just sensational and you can get it on Amazon right this very second.

The beautiful dinner table

Danielle and Cheryl

First, let me say that Dagny doesn't look a day over 34. She's beautiful, bright, funny, kind and loving. After some deliberation about her birthday, she decided she was going to turn her house into a disco and asked all her guests to dress Studio 54-ish. We all had a lovely dinner on the terrace, and behind us was a DJ station manned by Little Men Entertainment. Then down below on the lawn  was Dagny's Disco, with all white couches, a white dance floor, potted plants on tables, a mirror ball and flashing lights. IT WAS AWESOME. On the level down from the lawn level was Dagny's pool bathed in soft light, with warm water just beckoning to the dancers. Waiters with shots on trays danced in between us so we could keep dancing while "drinking." OF COURSE DAGNY ENDED UP IN THE POOL. Her handsome husband, Michael Dubelko, her mother, Sally Spears and her friend Miriam flew in from Texas, and her sister Kirsten was also there. It was a real family affair. Dagny and Michael's three beautiful daughter, Paige, Skylar and Taylor, were a constant, fun presence. Enjoying the free-for-all dancing were Jena King, Irena Medavoy, Cheryl Woodcock, Beverly Gatica, Cheryl Tiegs, Danielle Del, Jennifer Stallone, Fab Guerin and so many more glammed up girlfriends. What a great party!
