SO YOU THINK YOU KNOW WHAT THE FBI DOES? READ THIS.....

THE FBI DOES EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK IT DOES.....tracks down federal criminals; deals with terrorism; protects us internationally etc. Yes, it's cool men and women with shiny, sometimes concealed badges, and definitely-concealed guns. It's J. Edgar Hoover and a kind of clandestine organization----OR IS IT?

Yes, it is. But it also does all these things for America and the world......and I bet you had no clue. I didn't.

ADOPT-A-SCHOOL PROGRAMS--Started in 1994, the FBI has adopted a number of schools across the country, and they send volunteers to teach special programs.. They make younger kids "Junior Agents," and the mentor the older ones.

ART CRIMES--The FBI has recovered stolen Renoirs, Monets, and Rembrandts, and works with museums and police departments all over the world.

INTERNATIONAL CORRUPTION SQUADS

U.S. FOREIGN CORRUPTION PRACTICES ACT (BRIBERY)-- with offices in La. N.Y. and Washington, D.C.

DIRECTORS COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARDS--Commending local heroes

WASHINGTON, D.C. OPMED PROGRAM---FBI agents are trained at Quantico in special emergency medical treatment for their agents

FBI CITIZENS ACADEMY--A special course, taken, so far, by 18,000 civic, business, and religious leaders who are trained to join one of 60 non-profit alumni associations. They volunteer in their local communities.

OPERATION CROSS COUNTRY--Child sex traffic operations in 73 FBI offices all over the country. Five-hundred officers are involved in these stings to retrieve kids taken and put into child sex trafficking

I FIND ALL OF THE ABOVE AMAZING. I SALUTE THE FBI!!!! Thank you for your hard work.

FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP??????????!!!!!!!!!

JOHN HINCKLEY, JR.. RELEASED WHILE ALL ATTENTION WAS ON CONVENTIONS

JOHN HINCKLEY, JR. SHOT PRESIDENT REAGAN, JAMES BRADY AND FOUR POLICE OFFICERS............AND NOW HE'S FREE ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Our government and the prison system tried to keep this release quiet by doing it during the Democratic Convention. So typical.

Hinckley pled not guilty by reason of insanity, and he was believed. That's probably true, but you don't let him out! President Reagan almost died. James Brady survived, but his injuries were so severe, he never had a normal life again.

James Brady

And let's not forget about the danger to actress Jodie Foster. Hinckley claimed the reason he shot Reagan was because he wanted to impress Jodie. And now he can go after her again????

This is just another example of how wrong our world has become, and how logical priorities have gone out the window. Was it politically correct to release him? It must have been--at least in someone's opinion.

How appalling..............

BARBARA JORDAN'S 1976 KEYNOTE SPEECH AT THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION

I HAD THE HONOR OF MEETING CONGRESSWOMAN BARBARA JORDAN ONE NIGHT AND SPENDING SOME TIME WITH HER. SHE WAS THE REAL THING---SOMEONE WHO REALLY WANTED TO SERVE HER COUNTRY AND ITS PEOPLE FOR PURE REASONS.
TOO BAD ALL OF THAT IS GONE NOW.

People who reach high office today are rabid dogs who are power hungry---and I'm speaking of politicians in both parties. The good ones, who really care about people, don't run because it's too dirty. They also don't want to subject themselves or their families to the degrading public spectacle.

Barbara Jordan was a lawyer and educator who was a congresswoman from 1972 to 1978—the first African-American congresswoman to come from the deep South and the first woman ever elected to the Texas Senate (1966).
In 1966, Jordan finally won a seat in the Texas legislature, becoming the first black woman to do so.  In 1972, her fellow lawmakers voted her in as president pro tempore of the state senate. Jordan became the first African American woman to hold this post.
Advancing in her career, Jordan won election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1972. As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, she was thrust into the national spotlight during the Watergate scandal. Jordan stood as a moral compass during this time of crisis, calling for the impeachment of President Richard M. Nixon for his involvement in this illegal political enterprise.

Jordan had reportedly hoped to secure the position of U.S. attorney general within Jimmy Carter's administration after he won the election, but Carter gave the post to someone else.
Announcing that she wouldn't seek reelection, Jordan finished up her final term in 1979. Some thought that she might have gone farther in her political career, but it was later revealed that Jordan had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis around this time. She took some time to reflect on her life and political career, penning Barbara Jordan: A Self-Portrait (1979). Jordan soon turned her attention toward educating future generations of politicians and public officials, accepting a professorship at the University of Texas at Austin. She became the Lyndon B. Johnson Centennial Chair of Public Policy in 1982.
She served as a special counsel on ethics for Texas Governor Ann Richards in 1991. In 1994, President Bill Clinton appointed Jordan to head up the Commission on Immigration Reform. He also honored her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom that same year. She passed away two years later, on January 17, 1996, in Austin, Texas. Jordan died of pneumonia, a complication of her battle with leukemia.

HERE IS ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE SPEECHES EVER DELIVERED AT A CONVENTION. THIS IS 1976, and now, in 2016, our world had gone to Hell in a handbasket, and our conventions are circuses....... (you could really treat yourself and watch it on youtube)

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for a very warm reception.
It was one hundred and forty-four years ago that members of the Democratic Party first met in convention to select a Presidential candidate. Since that time, Democrats have continued to convene once every four years and draft a party platform and nominate a Presidential candidate. And our meeting this week is a continuation of that tradition. But there is something different about tonight. There is something special about tonight. What is different? What is special?
I, Barbara Jordan, am a keynote speaker.
When -- A lot of years passed since 1832, and during that time it would have been most unusual for any national political party to ask a Barbara Jordan to deliver a keynote address. But tonight, here I am. And I feel -- I feel that notwithstanding the past that my presence here is one additional bit of evidence that the American Dream need not forever be deferred.
Now -- Now that I have this grand distinction, what in the world am I supposed to say? I could easily spend this time praising the accomplishments of this party and attacking the Republicans -- but I don't choose to do that. I could list the many problems which Americans have. I could list the problems which cause people to feel cynical, angry, frustrated: problems which include lack of integrity in government; the feeling that the individual no longer counts; the reality of material and spiritual poverty; the feeling that the grand American experiment is failing or has failed. I could recite these problems, and then I could sit down and offer no solutions. But I don't choose to do that either. The citizens of America expect more. They deserve and they want more than a recital of problems.
We are a people in a quandary about the present. We are a people in search of our future. We are a people in search of a national community. We are a people trying not only to solve the problems of the present, unemployment, inflation, but we are attempting on a larger scale to fulfill the promise of America. We are attempting to fulfill our national purpose, to create and sustain a society in which all of us are equal.
Throughout -- Throughout our history, when people have looked for new ways to solve their problems and to uphold the principles of this nation, many times they have turned to political parties. They have often turned to the Democratic Party. What is it? What is it about the Democratic Party that makes it the instrument the people use when they search for ways to shape their future? Well I believe the answer to that question lies in our concept of governing. Our concept of governing is derived from our view of people. It is a concept deeply rooted in a set of beliefs firmly etched in the national conscience of all of us.
Now what are these beliefs? First, we believe in equality for all and privileges for none. This is a belief -- This is a belief that each American, regardless of background, has equal standing in the public forum -- all of us. Because -- Because we believe this idea so firmly, we are an inclusive rather than an exclusive party. Let everybody come.
I think it no accident that most of those immigrating to America in the 19th century identified with the Democratic Party. We are a heterogeneous party made up of Americans of diverse backgrounds. We believe that the people are the source of all governmental power; that the authority of the people is to be extended, not restricted.
This -- This can be accomplished only by providing each citizen with every opportunity to participate in the management of the government. They must have that, we believe. We believe that the government which represents the authority of all the people, not just one interest group, but all the people, has an obligation to actively -- underscore actively -- seek to remove those obstacles which would block individual achievement -- obstacles emanating from race, sex, economic condition. The government must remove them, seek to remove them. We.
We are a party -- We are a party of innovation. We do not reject our traditions, but we are willing to adapt to changing circumstances, when change we must. We are willing to suffer the discomfort of change in order to achieve a better future. We have a positive vision of the future founded on the belief that the gap between the promise and reality of America can one day be finally closed. We believe that.
This, my friends is the bedrock of our concept of governing. This is a part of the reason why Americans have turned to the Democratic Party. These are the foundations upon which a national community can be built. Let all understand that these guiding principles cannot be discarded for short-term political gains. They represent what this country is all about. They are indigenous to the American idea. And these are principles which are not negotiable.
In other times -- In other times, I could stand here and give this kind of exposition on the beliefs of the Democratic Party and that would be enough. But today that is not enough. People want more. That is not sufficient reason for the majority of the people of this country to decide to vote Democratic. We have made mistakes. We realize that. We admit our mistakes. In our haste to do all things for all people, we did not foresee the full consequences of our actions. And when the people raised their voices, we didn't hear. But our deafness was only a temporary condition, and not an irreversible condition.
Even as I stand here and admit that we have made mistakes, I still believe that as the people of America sit in judgment on each party, they will recognize that our mistakes were mistakes of the heart. They'll recognize that.
And now -- now we must look to the future. Let us heed the voice of the people and recognize their common sense. If we do not, we not only blaspheme our political heritage, we ignore the common ties that bind all Americans. Many fear the future. Many are distrustful of their leaders, and believe that their voices are never heard. Many seek only to satisfy their private work -- wants; to satisfy their private interests. But this is the great danger America faces -- that we will cease to be one nation and become instead a collection of interest groups: city against suburb, region against region, individual against individual; each seeking to satisfy private wants. If that happens, who then will speak for America? Who then will speak for the common good?
This is the question which must be answered in 1976: Are we to be one people bound together by common spirit, sharing in a common endeavor; or will we become a divided nation? For all of its uncertainty, we cannot flee the future. We must not become the "New Puritans" and reject our society. We must address and master the future together. It can be done if we restore the belief that we share a sense of national community, that we share a common national endeavor. It can be done.
There is no executive order; there is no law that can require the American people to form a national community. This we must do as individuals, and if we do it as individuals, there is no President of the United States who can veto that decision.
As a first step -- As a first step, we must restore our belief in ourselves. We are a generous people, so why can't we be generous with each other? We need to take to heart the words spoken by Thomas Jefferson:
Let us restore the social intercourse -- "Let us restore to social intercourse that harmony and that affection without which liberty and even life are but dreary things."
A nation is formed by the willingness of each of us to share in the responsibility for upholding the common good. A government is invigorated when each one of us is willing to participate in shaping the future of this nation. In this election year, we must define the "common good" and begin again to shape a common future. Let each person do his or her part. If one citizen is unwilling to participate, all of us are going to suffer. For the American idea, though it is shared by all of us, is realized in each one of us.
And now, what are those of us who are elected public officials supposed to do? We call ourselves "public servants" but I'll tell you this: We as public servants must set an example for the rest of the nation. It is hypocritical for the public official to admonish and exhort the people to uphold the common good if we are derelict in upholding the common good. More is required -- More is required of public officials than slogans and handshakes and press releases. More is required. We must hold ourselves strictly accountable. We must provide the people with a vision of the future.
If we promise as public officials, we must deliver. If -- If we as public officials propose, we must produce. If we say to the American people, "It is time for you to be sacrificial" -- sacrifice. If the public official says that, we [public officials] must be the first to give. We must be. And again, if we make mistakes, we must be willing to admit them. We have to do that. What we have to do is strike a balance between the idea that government should do everything and the idea, the belief, that government ought to do nothing. Strike a balance.
Let there be no illusions about the difficulty of forming this kind of a national community. It's tough, difficult, not easy. But a spirit of harmony will survive in America only if each of us remembers that we share a common destiny; if each of us remembers, when self-interest and bitterness seem to prevail, that we share a common destiny.
I have confidence that we can form this kind of national community.
I have confidence that the Democratic Party can lead the way.
I have that confidence.
We cannot improve on the system of government handed down to us by the founders of the Republic. There is no way to improve upon that. But what we can do is to find new ways to implement that system and realize our destiny.
Now I began this speech by commenting to you on the uniqueness of a Barbara Jordan making a keynote address. Well I am going to close my speech by quoting a Republican President and I ask you that as you listen to these words of Abraham Lincoln, relate them to the concept of a national community in which every last one of us participates:
"As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master." This -- This -- "This expresses my idea of Democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no Democracy."
Thank you.

DON'T RUN TO GREY GARDENS AT THE AHMANSON. BEWARE.

 RACHEL YORK
BETTY BUCKLEY

WHO DOESN'T WANT TO SEE THE WONDERFUL BETTY BUCKLEY
AND RACHEL YORK?

Their performances are absolutely terrific. So are these people--- starting with Bryan Batt and Sarah Hunt...........
Petyon Ella
Simon Jones
Katie Silverman
Davon Williams
Josh Young

Olivia Curry
Rogelio Douglas Jr.
Steven Good
Melina Kalomas
Michelle London
Rebecca Spencer

BUT THESE POOR PEOPLE WERE SADDLED WITH A DOG OF A SHOW.  The score by Scott Frankel and Michael Korie is mediocre.....and that's using a KIND word. Michael Wilson's direction is from the Stone Age. Rachel York's performance of "Another Winter in a Summer Town" is brilliant, and the song, by default, is the only slightly worthy one in the show. And it's the concept of the song, not necessarily the execution by the writers. Rachel saves it.

The first act is as tedious as could be. The second comes to life because of the character switch of York and the addition of Buckley.

Most of you have season tickets. You can decide to use them in this case or not.

AN OPEN LETTER ABOUT DONALD TRUMP--from LAURENCE LUCKINBILL

This letter was written to his children last night after watching Trump's acceptance speech by the distinguished New York theatre actor, Laurence Luckinbill. He is a true renaissance man who is an author, a perpetual, deep student of all thought processes, and a brilliant actor who writes and stars in his one-man shows on Teddy Roosevelt, Hemingway, Clarence Darrow and Lyndon Johnson.

Blut Und Boden--Blood and Soil--July 21st, 2016.

I listened to and watched a 21st Century Aryan rally last night.  It was a visit to a frightening place, a place where unreason was celebrated, where lies were celebrated like truth, and where a kind of madness was created deliberately and bathed in by the weirdly costumed all-white participants in a kind of hard-faced, hypnotized, joyless bloodlust.

At the climax of the four day orgy, the crowd was brought to the edge of mob orgasm by the main speaker--a large, dominant Male/Female figure wearing on its head an immobile mane of dyed, piled hair (?) that had been carefully coiffed--or built in a laboratory as a new kind of combat helmet.  I was reminded of a 1950's horror movie called The Thing.

This final Walpurgisnacht was all oddly fake, like a movie, but oddly real, like genuine horror is--which we have seen everywhere in recent days in larger and larger dimension.  We are learning to fear it--fake or not--as it gains credence and is--so far--left unchallenged by the forces of civilization and reason.  It is, rather, promoted with a kind of lip-licking glee by media figures who seem to want to find out what happens when a monster is fed blood and then released from its cage.

This strange creature's apotheosis was preceded--over days--by pale, rail-thin blonde Thinglets with empty eyes and somber faces cracked only by false smile-like rictuses--a succession of mesmerized followers at an alien's crowning rite on an alien planet, who were identified as the Male/Female figure's children.  Each intoned the same idea over and over and over and over in long rosary-like prayers--that the creature was all-powerful, infallible, and good, and ought to be followed and obeyed, and if it is, safety will be assured, plenty will flow, there will be no night anymore, no enemy left alive to harm us, and we lucky followers will be allowed to exist, to live in a kind of poison aspic flowing like sap from the pores of the Dominant One, The Thing, which will nourish us, keep us alive if we are content to live without questioning the all powerful rule of The Thing.

In recent days, we have seen what happens when The Thing's power is questioned--our fellows have been "disappeared" from previous rallies, threatened with violence, served with violence--none of which has been treated with seriousness by the still-existing order, which seems to be collaborating in its own demise --feeding--The Thing's rise.

We have seen the Goerings, The Himmlerses and the Goebbelses at this rally as well, the comb-over rats squeaking in the basement, ravenous and raring to fill the streets and alleys aboveground when summoned by The Dominant One.

At this final rally, the enemy was identified again and again and again and again--a female beast, a dragon, a Medusa, a Circe, a Mother-of-Lies, a black hole of a devouring monster which must be destroyed and re-destroyed, and burnt, and jailed, and shot for treason--obliterated, trampled, decomposed, her ashes scattered so thoroughly that not one scintilla can ever contaminate our planet again.

This was the demand of The Thing, and it was received at the rally like a sacrament.  The followers danced with foot-stamping urgency, with a dangerous mob-ism, ready to boil the oil, seize the hot tar buckets, the rails, the feathers, the daggers, the AR15s, the Glocks, the nail scissors, the spatulas, the knitting needles, the teeth, and to rend this female beast with no name to bits--this crowd was pissing and shitting themselves to be released to do harm, to kill the witch, to cleanse themselves in her blood.

The Thing hammered at their clotted brains, roared in their ears like the sea breaking on rocky cliffs, filled them with bursting hatred, got them ready to do bad, bad things...

I watched and listened, beyond appalled, beyond judgment, beyond fear or reason--with one thought running through my brain over and over:  How Can This Be My Country?  How Can This Be The America That Was Founded On Reason?  On Compromise For The Common Good?  Where Are That America's Defenders Now?

I thought--we had better meet, we few, and make a covenant to resist this Thing, this Dominant One, this Male/Female Creature who seeks to rape our civilization, and which, soon, will have grown so engorged with the stink of its followers' saliva--which will cover it with a slime that is poisonous death to breathe and to touch--that it will be unstoppable.

How--why--are we letting this happen?

Wake up, please, folks!  Revere is a-horse outside the window.  They are coming for us.  "Listen, my children, and you shall hear..."  The mob approacheth..."The center will not hold..."

Hey, we gotta stop Trump...he is REALLY dangerous!

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE CONTESTANT NAMED TRUMP'S DIRECTOR OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN OUTREACH

LET'S SEE................ CELEBRITY APPRENTICE'S OMAROSA IS NAMED BY TRUMP
AS DIRECTOR OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN OUTREACH

Hmmmmmm.............  How about??????

SECRETARY OF DEFENSE GARY BUSEY

SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR BRANDI GLANVILLE

ATTORNEY GENERAL LA TOYA JACKSON

SECRETARY OF STATE LISA RINNA

I've made my point.

YOU MUST WATCH "TYRANT" ON FX THIS WEEK

THIS IS THE BEST DRAMATIC TV SERIES ON TV RIGHT NOW

FOR MORE THAN TWO SEASONS. GO TO YOUR CLICKERS AND RECORD THIS WEEK'S SHOW. It is the most exciting they've ever done....better that "24" and "Homeland" combined.

All the actors are incredibly talented, but none more than Jennifer Finnigan, who is a combination of Julianne Moore and Meryl Streep. If this episode were a movie, I guarantee you, she'd be nominated for Best Actress. Incidentally, she has already won THREE daytime Emmys for her acting, and starred in four TV series prior to this one, which became a hit.

In the story, Finnigan is an American doctor practicing in the U.S., who is married to a Middle Eastern (but very westernized) man named Barry. Barry is actually Basham, the son of the ruler of a Middle East country called "Abudin." They also have two children,

Needless to say, the set-up is that they go there on vacation and get trapped into staying. Suddenly their lives are thrown into terror and family drama. It is a deep study of what the world is like in one of those countries today.

ALEXANDRA DWEK, IRENA MEDAVOY & FAMILIES EXPERIENCE TERROR ATTACK IN FRANCE

ALEXANDRA DWEK and her husband, Joe and daughter, Cairo are on a boat docked at Cannes. Irena Medavoy and her family are on a nearby boat. Irena's son, Nick, had decided NOT to go the short trip by boat to Nice for the fireworks, but friends of his did. When Irena and I last communicated, Nick didn't know whether they were safe. Nick, a top basketball player, will be starting his freshman year at NYU in the fall

Cairo Dwek, Alexandra's daughter who is starting USC in the fall, was recently signed by Ford models and already has her first magazine cover, was on a smaller boat going to Nice for the show. Word of the attack came and Alexandra reached Cairo by phone and the boat turned around.

They are not getting a lot of sleep over there, and, frankly, I wish they'd both come home right now.

God bless France and God Bless America. C'mon, America. Get tough and stop this horror.

AFTER HILLARY AND BERNIE, THEY CUT TO THE LORETTA LYNCH HEARING

AND THE RIDICULOUS SHOW CONTINUES. I am so sick of Washington and their little playpen.
Maybe its because I come from Hollywoodland, but, to me, these hearings are one big audition for lesser-known politicians to raise their profiles because cameras are there. What a joke.

They ask ridiculous questions over and over again, posturing like they are the next Jack Kennedy. Well...I knew Jack Kennedy, and you're no Jack Kennedy. (Thanks, Lloyd).

POLITICS AS THEATRE

THIS IS THE SHOW THAT IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW.

I am not making any political comments about candidates. I'm talking about the marketing game, practiced by both sides. Forgive me if I can't ever keep a straight face watching ANY of the made-for-TV opportunities, whether it's Christie standing behind Trump, or this photo from the TV screen right now. IT'S ALL THEATRE, and so many people don't get the game.

How I wish that the negotiations in order to make this TV show on right now would be on TV, too. Now THAT's the real show.

And, by the way, all the negotiations about the party platform presented at conventions, are a crock. No one ever refers back to what was on the platform once they get the presidency.

This is such a crucial election. I wish it there was no media game....just real facts.

God bless America.

BYE BYE, OSCAR PISTORIUS--YOU MURDERING BASTARD

LOOK AT WHAT HE DID........

Her name was Reeva Steenkamp. His is Oscar, and he liked to brandish guns around in public. He loved them and loved to shoot them. He also had a raging temper. Now she's dead, cut down in her prime--an innocent girl who should naver have been with this pig.

Why did you need to carry a gun around and show it, Oscar? Is your penis too small???

Now you're in jail for six years. It should have been 15. The judge gave you a break. Why? Because you're a famous athlete who has to walk around on stumps?

Rubbish.

BILL CLINTON--THE "GIFT" THAT KEEPS ON GIVING...........GOOD LORD!

ONCE AGAIN, BILL IS HILLARY'S WORST NIGHTMARE

Accidentally meeting with Loretta Lynch in Phoenix, just as the FBI investigation result is coming to a head? Really?

Remember in her first campaig for president he eas running around the country like a wild man, totally screwing up whatever he said as he "campaigned for "her?" They pulled him off the road and tried to muzzle him. He was quiet for awhile.

Well, he's at it again.

I truly believe that Bill is Hillary's best and worst asset. I also have a theory. I think that, deep down, he's jealous of her and kind of wants her to lose. I know he would argue with me like crazy on that point because he (consciously) doesn't think that at all. Therapists would have a field day working with him.

Listen...Hill...........Listen Huma.............. CONTROL HIM NOW!
