DESERT HAPPENINGS. IT WAS A BUSY WEEK.

ANNENBERG THEATER COUNCIL'S
TAKE YOUR SEAT PARTY

HIGHLIGHTED BY A "LYRICS BY DAVID ZIPPEL" CONCERT

The Anneberg Theatre Council's "Take Your Seat" campaign raised $300,000 for improvments for the theatre. It was underwritten by John Monahan, and so capably run by Terri Ketover, David Zippel, Tom Truhe, and Sid Craig.

As a thank you to the donors, the ATC put on a free evening for them featuring drinks and hors d"oeuvres, followed by a dynamite show starring David Zippel with Brent Barrett, Tami Tappan Damiano, and David Burnham. The show featured all songs with lyrics by the multi-nominated in every field--David Zippel. David told stories and ran clips, and it all was tied together by fantastic performances. It truly was an evening of love.

HUGH PANARO STARRED IN THE LAST ATC PERFORMANCE SERIES OF THE SEASON AT THE ANNENBERG.

Hugh Panaro--the handsomest, most talented male singer I've ever heard.....the nicest human being ever. EVERYONE in the Anneberg  fell in love with him and his voice.

And, let's Not forget is MD Ron Abel, who sounds like an entire orchestra and is also fabulous to watch on stage.

There was a private reception for Hugh back stage, and then Lucie Arnaz and Larry Luckinbill gave an even more private one back at their house.

CAROLE COOK AT THE PURPLE ROOM---A LEGEND IS A LEGEND

Carole (and her husband, Tom) are very special people. She is 95 years old, and owns that stage. Se is quick-witted, tells hilarious and poignant stories, and is quite a chanteuse. It was a fantastic night.

Yours truly, John Monahan, Dick Taylor, and Sharon Gless
