HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT AMERICA LIKES TO DISCOVER TALENT, PUSH THEM TO THE TOP, THEN KNOCK THEM DOWN, AWAIT AN APOLOGY FROM THEM (FOR WHATEVER) AND THEN "FORGIVE THEM?
It's Megyn Kelly's turn now. I think that members of the media are so jealous that she took an opportunity (that she EARNED), and made a big money deal, that they started trying to kill her before her new daily show even aired. Stories are planted every day calling her a liar, a failure, and a ratings disaster.
She came on her first day and tried to show a softer, friendly side because everyone told her that's what works in daytime. Viewers want a "friend" during the day. However, it is also important that she show her more savvy "world events" side. I'm not going to call it political because she says she doesn't want that. But she must remember that it was her abilities in that area that got her the new job. I'm noticing she is gradually working that in.
Did she make the Jane Fonda goof? Yes. In today's instantaneous world, people demand hit or miss verdicts in a time from anywhere from five minutes to five hours. No one has room for even five DAYS.
Let's just let her rise or fall on her abilities and stop the jealous media attacks.
And, oh, yes, people really hate it when women make more money than some men.
