Dear Julia,
I am so sorry about your sister. When you have a family member who is an emotionally and mentally-disturbed addict, that family member tries to take the rest of the family hostage to his or her issues. There comes a point when, in order to save yourself, you have to distance yourself and recognize you are powerless over them.
Suicide is a violent, angry act that is aimed at punishing someone. Don't take that in. The only person responsible for killing your sister was your sister.
