THE ADORABLE KATE LUCKINBILL MARRIED THE EQUALLY ADORABLE JEFF CONNER OVER THE WEEKEND AT THE SEATTLE AQUARIUM
This was a joyous occasion that, like most weddings, are also a reunion, as well as a remembrance of shared memories of those who have passed on.
It was really cool to have a wedding in an aquarium on a pier. The setting was so beautiful, and you were constantly entertained by passing fish. There was even an otter feeding event between the wedding and the dinner. I loved it!

Lucie, Rita Conner, the groom's mother, and Larry Luckinbill, the bride's father |
And, on to the wedding...........
|
Grandpa Desi |
|
Grandma Lucy |
The sign-in table featured a 78 record of Desi's that we all signed, as well as photos of them and other beloved family and friends who were there in spirit. The bride walked down the aisle to her grandfather's record of "Made for Each Other." She was also holding a bouquet of her grandmother's favorite flowers.

Marrying with beautiful fish! |

Happy Larry! |
After Jeff and Kate did a beautiful, romantic Fred and Ginger dance to "Make Someone Happy" (Kate's grandmother's favorite song), Larry cut in and they did a funny fabulous routine to a Blues Traveler song that was choreographed by Lucie. It was sensational.
And, that's not all. At one point, Lucie sang "The Glory of Love" to the newlyweds, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
But, bride Kate brought the house down when she, and her bridemaids did a Supremes number, right down to the matching choreography. Kate's lead vocals sounded like she was a Vegas headliner. I'm not kidding. She KILLED it!

The otter enjoyed the reception, too. |

A prime example of the tradition and family and friends. Meet Wanda, Lucille Ball's secretary for decades, and Frank, her and the family's driver, also for decades. What kind souls they are. |

So sorry about the lighting. Kate and Jeff at their table during dinner. The wedding rings of Lucy and Desi are around Kate's neck. |
Who wouldn't want an Oreo cake????
WE ALL DID!!!!
And the next morning, Lucie and Larry hosted a brunch for the out-of-towners, bride and groom and immediate family members in the presidential suite of the Westin Hotel. It was floor to ceiling glass walls on the 47th floor and was the size of half a football field! That worked!
Lucie and Larry, you gave the most beautiful wedding. Every detail, every moment was filled with thought and love. May Kate and Jeff's marriage be as joyous and meaningful as yours.
