CANCELING OSCAR AWARDS PARTIES---REALLY?????
SOMETIMES I THINK HOLLYWOOD IS FULL OF POLITICALLY-CORRECT WUSSES WHO FOLLOW FADS JUST TO BE "COOL." THE LATEST CASE IN POINT IS THE AGENCY UTA. THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO CANCEL THEIR OSCAR PARTY FOR THEIR CLIENTS AND FRIENDS AND DONATE THE MONEY TO THE ACLU.
SO FAR, I'M WAITING TO SEE IF OTHER COMPANIES CAVE IN TO THIS STUPID PRESSURE.
Why should the Oscars, a ceremony that celebrates art and the work of individuals, be diminished by no celebrating afterwards because some agency doesn't like who's in the White House? People who win Oscars are having their dreams come true and they should be allowed to have their hard work celebrated at the afterparties.
IF UTA WANTS TO GIVE MONEY TO THE ACLU OR ANY ORGANIZATION THEY LIKE, THEY SHOULD DO SO. BUT...HEY....YOUR AGENCY IS LOADED. YOUR CLIENTS PAY YOU BIG COMMISSIONS. I THINK YOU CAN AFFORD TO DO BOTH. DON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU LOSE SOME CLIENTS OVER THIS---AND, YOU SHOULD.
