TODAY'S BITS AND PIECES--EMMYS, ETC.

                 THE EMMYS OF DEATH

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

First, let me say that there were moments that were really good and quite funny. I also don't believe in "murdering" awards shows for the fun of it. They have to give out awards and so be it.

It was never right to single out some stars and not others with the memorium segments. It's simply disrespectful. Of course some stars are more beloved than others, or more famous than others. It doesn't matter. And I AM one of those who felt the Cory Montieth singling out was inappropriate. I know the Emmys supposedly "feel" it would help put a light on addiction, but rewarding addiction is never a good thing. And, we all know it was done for ratings. I am truly sorry we lost this young man. Addiction is a tragedy. But don't honor it on TV.

The Don Cheadle/Kennedy segment was not necessary either.

Uh.....Claire.....who's your stylist? You're a brilliant actress, but, Oh My God

PET PEEVE-CHEWING GUM ON AWARDS SHOWS

Jeff Daniels--Were you born in a barn? Did you not have parents with manners?

Are you that classless????
