DESERT AIDS PROJECT DINNER PROJECT IS A WINNER!
Each year, Desert Aids project, headed by President Steve Kauffer, has dinners given by generous people who lend their beautiful homes. There are 14 dinners in all, and each features someone special. I was fortunate to be Lucie Arnaz' guest at the dinner where our friend, Lily Tomlin, was the special guest.
It was at the drop dead gorgeous home of Bonnie and Alan Cashman. This delightful couple is from Seattle, and they winter in Palm Springs. I think the pictures will speak for themselves. The entire house inside and out is an art piece unto itself.

The entire place looks like an art museum. The backyard features at least four pools--some for swimming; some for looking. |

I'm not running any more pictures so their privacy can be preserved. I just want to add that an unusual highlight was a very large metal garden sculpture that I thought was one of those round Richard Serra pieces, was actually a real urinal for the guys who don't want to go too far away from the pool to relieve themselves. Yep. That's a first!
