It was a mildly sunny afternoon in Connie's Stevens' Holmby Hills backyard, but Diane Ladd and her friends (like almost 100) brought the sunshine. They were celebrating the publication of her new book, "A Bad Afternoon for a Piece of Cake." It is a book of short stories from Diane's brilliant brain. And because Diane is from the south, there was a buffet of true Southern soul food.
